Sabz (Green) Palace Museum
This Palace, covering 137,229 sq. m, stands on a natural platform and was built under Reza Shah (ex-king’s father) in 1925. it ranks among the remarkable structures on account of its architectural and artistic value. The interior is embellished with stucco carvings, enameled panels and inlay works, while marble slabs cover the outside facades.
The basement of this palace was reconstructed in a new style in 1974. Sabz Palace was originally used as the private office of the ex-king and his father. Due to the Islamic revolution, in has been transformed into a museum since 1980.
